REB+VoDKa+ME was written in The Civilians' 2015-2016 R&D Group and presented in the 2016 FINDINGS Series, directed by Benjamin Kamine, music directed by Rich Silverstein.
The project was further developed in the 2016 Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals, the 2017 Yale Institute for Music Theatre and the Musical Theatre Factory.
REB+VoDKa+ME received a workshop production at NYU's Tisch New Musical Theatre Workshop in November 2017, directed by Benjamin Kamine, music directed by Rich Silverstein.
The piece received a 2018 Discovery Grant from OPERA America, funded through the Virginia B Toulmin Foundation, resulting in a reading with The Civilians in July 2019, directed by Annie Tippe, music directed by Rich Silverstein.
